Difficulty: Easy

Est. Cost: < $10/half dozen

Time: < 30 mins

What You’ll Need

  • Mold: Available on Amazon, Michael’s, or online specialty stores like Evil Cake Genius (a fantastic woman-owned business in the U.S. with consistently great products).

  • Icing Sheets: Edible sheets with pictures—great for themes! (I used Grinch-themed sheets for a friend who’s a fan.)

  • Chocolate: Any kind works!

  • Oreos: Gluten-free versions work, too.

  • Tools: Piping bags or ziplock bags, rubber bands, or a microwave-safe bowl.

How You Do It:

  1. Prep Your Mold

Place one icing sheet face-down into each mold cavity. These sheets are designed for chocolate-covered Oreos, but you can trim other designs to fit.

  2. Add Chocolate & Oreo

    • Melt your chocolate in a piping bag (sealed with a rubber band) or in a bowl, then pour a thin layer of chocolate over each icing sheet.

    • Place an Oreo on top of the chocolate layer.

      • Cover the Oreo with more chocolate until it’s fully submerged.

  3. Set the Mold

Pop the mold into the fridge to set. (Patience is key! I got impatient once, and the results weren’t as polished—but still delicious!)

  4. Unmold Your Masterpieces

Once the chocolate is firm, peel the mold away and “pop” out your chocolate-covered Oreos.

Chelli’s Tips

• Easy Cleanup: Use piping bags to melt chocolate—just snip the tip when ready to use. Cleanup is a breeze!

• Allergen Safety: For gluten-free options, use a separate mold or make those cookies first to avoid cross-contamination.

• Customization: Add borders, frames, or have personalized icing sheets printed for birthdays, holidays, or business branding.

These chocolate-covered Oreos are a huge hit and surprisingly versatile. Plus, with endless icing sheet designs, you can tailor them for any occasion! Try them out and let me know what creative designs you come up with! 🌟
